[Tagdb] Tag connections ( hope this list is active)

Hello,
  I haven't seen any mail on this list.I was wondering what could be an
ideal database to store tag connections as discussed in Phillip Keller's
article

I connect tags by adding  a record like 'tag1 tag2 count'  ,initialize count
with 1 and incrment it each time someone tags the taggable object with the
tags tag1 and tag2. Whenever 2 tags are related the record has the tag with
the lower tagid becomes tag1. the question is ,how does one get to create
relations like tag1 "is a category of " tag2 or tag1 "is a synonym" of tag2
.

Because If i tag a link with "ajax" and "javascript" ,one can relate them
but i dont see a way to build a database where ajax is a category of
javascript.
