Hi Philipp,
Thanks for starting and driving this. Sorry I haven't been able to
participate as much as I would like - a bunch of work has popped up with
everyone wanting things by the end of the year. A good thing so I am
not complaining .... But I am not sleeping a lot.
About the feed I agree it would be an excellent thing. My preference
would be to have a blog with one person ( or a small group ) editing,
and have an RSS feed off that blog. This would prevent junk postings
from making it into the feed. The setup using delicious suffers from
the problem that the tagschema user has to be watching the posts pretty
much all the time to grab junk proactively - this could get bad fast.
And if the feed starts having junk slipping through then in a short
while people will stop reading it. The blog approach allows posts to
accumulate and the editor(s) can approve once a day or so and we can be
assured of far better quality. If Simpy has a way to moderate and share
postings perhaps that might work.
If clippings.tagschema.com needs to be used let me know the machine
details and I can do the needful DNS thing.
Of course there is the very simple, unfashionable but widely used
mechanism of the email list - clippings at lists.tagschema.com with a group
of moderators would work fine as well. It would be a read only list at
first and could become a discussion list if it made sense.
So let me know what needs to be done and I'll be glad to help including
hosting the blog at my textdrive ( www.textdrive.com ) account or
redirecting to whatever blog we choose.
Thanks again for running with this, it is an excellent thing for the
community.
I promise I will be posting comments about your previous posts in the
next few days.
